Good Morning Office Clerical Staff,
As you are aware from our meeting, and a contact message we have been negotiating a deal with respect to your sick day entitlement and your gratuity pay out.
We have come to an impasse with the employer and we will be filing a union grievance, we are also requesting that everyone that is entitled to the gratuity file an individual grievance.
Therefore, if your seniority date is prior to October 6 1998 please print off the grievance form. Fill out everything but the Statement of Grievance or Settlement Desired and sign.

We are doing our best to work on your behalf, and we feel that this is an earned benefit and should not be withdrawn unilaterally by the employer.
8 Computer Software Technicians,1 Computer Network Technician laid off, and several Education Centre staff affected.
Plus a major hit to Secondary Schools, Office Clerical support staff will no longer be in schools over the summer preparing for the upcoming school year. 90+ positions have been reduced from 12 month positions to 10 month, 10 day positions.
