We are part of the Ontario Public Service Employees Union Opens a new window which has over 100,000 full and part-time members, nearly 500 locals, and 20 offices across Ontario, we're part of the third largest union in the province. Being a Local who represents Boards of Education, this makes us part of OPSEU's Broader Public Service (BPS) Sector.

OPSEU divides the province into seven regions for the purpose of its own local structure. The first digit of the local number tells what region it is in. Local 123 is in Region 1, Local 234 in Region 2 and so on. Each region elects three members to the union's executive board; one of whom is elected as the regional vice-president. The president and first vice-president/treasurer of the union are elected from among the board by the annual convention. They serve two-year terms in these full-time positions.

Regional offices are located in Brockville, Dryden, Guelph, Hamilton, Kingston, London, Niagara, North Bay, Orillia, Ottawa, Owen Sound, Peterborough, Sault Ste. Marie, Sudbury, Thunder Bay, Timmins, Toronto Queen's Park, Toronto Downsview, Whitby, and Windsor.
